Rejuvalift: FDA approved for reduction of cellulite
Rejuvalift Face & Body has received FDA approval for their AWT (Acoustic Wave Therapy) procedure to reduce cellulite.
They are one of the top players in the rapidly growing medspa industry, and are one of the first practices in the US to have access to acoustic wave therapy, which reduces cellulite with a minimum of pain or after-effects.
[tag-ice]Cellulite[/tag-ice] is generally caused by a combination of factors. There is hardening of collagen, the connective tissue which supports the skin’s fat layer, and the hardening of this connective tissue pushes the fat cells up into the lower layer of the skin. This "push" of fat cells leads to the dimpling seen just under the skin.
Cellulite treatments need to address both of these aspects, but, until now, most cellulite treatments were able to address just one or the other.
Rejuvalift’s [tag-tec]Acoustic Wave Therapy[/tag-tec] uses pressure waves to pass through the skin and break down the hardened collagen while it thickens the dermis and decreases the amount of fat protusion into the skin. Ultrasound pictures have confirmed the thickening of the dermis (the skin’s innermost layer) after AWT treatments. This dermal thickening reduces the number of fat cells protuding into the dermis, and this, therefore, reduces the appearance of cellulite.
This is going to be good news to the 75% (or more) of women who suffer from [tag-self]cellulite[/tag-self].
