Azelaic Acid plus PHA helps rosacea symptoms
Rosacea has historically been difficult to treat. It is skin condition which is characterized by redness and flushing of the face which can lead to breakouts and other skin problems in its later stages.
The Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology recently published findings revealing that azelaic acid 15% gel, when used in combination with a polyhydroxy (PHA) acid skin care regimen was more effective at treating rosacea than other, self chosen skin care regimens. This is good news for those who suffer from rosacea and who often can't tolerate too many different skin care products to manage the disease.
Treatment with azelaic acid plus polyhydroxy acids can decrease the signs and symptoms of rosacea.
If you are troubled by rosacea, be sure to talk with your doctor about this new research finding. Azelaic acid was also recently shown to improve acne symptoms, meaning that azelaic acid may just be one of the best new ingredients for skin care.
